QQ - What if my baby has an adverse reaction?

A - If your baby does have an adverse reaction to a new food this may be indicated by spots, rash or sickness. Should this occur stop giving the food and check with your medical advisor, if serious. Some foods may give mild reactions which are temporary and indicate the baby getting used to the new food. The planner is designed to ensure that foods are only introduced into the diet when the chance of a reaction is minimal. If there is a family or parental history of a food allergy (e.g. dairy, wheat) avoid introducing these foods until much later and after seeking advice. High-risk foods (such as peanuts) are avoided completely.

Q - My baby does not like some of the foods, what do I do?

A - If your baby does not like a food you have introduced, don't worry - do not force it. Try again in a couple of weeks - you can repeat this process many times as their taste buds are constantly changing. If you follow our schedule and use the food in cubes there is not much waste and allows foods to be re-introduced at a later date.
